Questions
How much is a cord of firewood?
It depends on how much you order and how far we deliver. Enter your address above to see your total instantly. You can order a full cord, or a half or quarter cord.
How big is a cord?
A full cord is a stack 4 feet high, 4 feet deep and 8 feet long, or 128 cubic feet of wood.
Is the firewood seasoned?
Yes. Seasoned for at least 12 months, so it lights easily and burns hot with less smoke.
Do you stack the wood?
We dump the wood as close to where you want it as the truck can safely get. Ask about stacking when we confirm your order.
How much firewood do I need for winter?
If wood is your main heat source, most Nova Scotia homes burn 3 to 5 cords a winter. For evening fires and backup heat, half a cord to one cord is usually plenty.
